When it comes to you - my dear mens readers - it could be many things: the colour and the way you knot the scarf, how you lace your shoes, the way you mix different colours and textures or even the unique DIY detail on your bag.

Toto ste už isto počuli, ale aj tak to rada zopakujem. Nezáleží na tom, koho alebo čo máte na sebe. Na značke ani na cene. Tajomstvo úspechu spočíva v detailoch, ktoré sa postarajú o to, aby ste vyzerali inak, svojsky, originálne. A týka sa to aj vás, milí moji mužskí čitatelia. So girls, don't be afraid to get dirty! And if I could choose only one highlight of the season, it would be definitely this fabulous Balmain leather jacket (last picture).

THIS IS IT! A nemám teraz na mysli film s Michael Jacksonom. Aj keď Michael bol ten, ktorý sa postaral o návrat vysokých ramien na módnu scénu. Ale späť k veci. Tento editoriál považujem za zatiaľ najvydarenejší, čo sa vojenského týka. Takže dievčatá, do blata s vami! A ak by som mohla vyzdvihnúť len jednu vychytávku sezóny, bola by to určite kožená bundička Balmain z poslednej fotografie.

One of my favorite trends for the spring is the military/army jacket look. Even more on women. Army jacket really sets the tone. You can wear it over a dress, belted with a skirt or slung over your jeans. And with so many "uniform" inspired collections in stores and on the runways right now, it doesn't look like this fascination will run away from the battlefield any time soon.

Jedným z mojich obľúbencov, čo sa týka jarných trendov, je vojenský alias armádny kabátik. Najmä na ženách. Môžete ho nosiť ako kabát ku šatám, previazaný opaskom k sukni, alebo len tak k rifliam. A poviem vám rovno, že s toľkými uniformne inšpirovanými kolekciami v obchodoch a na mólach to veru nevyzerá na trend, ktorý by len tak ušiel z bojiska.

Spring is slowly approaching Toronto and I am looking for a nice pair of booties. My "all for a pair of shoes" radar is on target: there has to be a similar pair to this Rag & Bone one out there, has to be!

Jar nám tu v Toronte pomaličky začína dýchať na krky, a tak sa začínam obzerať po nejakých pekných čižmičkách. Môj "všetko pre pár topánok " radar je nastavený na podobný pár tomuto od Rag & Bone. Teraz ho už len musím nájisť.

Tak toto je podľa mňa pravý zimný look. Zimná bunda Canada Goose, červené olympijské rukavice a baranica z umelej kožušiny. Pravá Kanaďanka. Tlieskam Joey. PS: Otvorenie olympijských hier už dnes večer!!!

The fashion industry took a tremendous loss today with the announcement of Alexander McQueen's death. He was a master of the fantastic. And who wouldn't love his his breathtaking fashion shows?! I'm officially sad..:(

Svet módy dnes prišiel o jedného zo svojich velikánov. Alexander McQueen bol majstrom fantastična. A kto by nemiloval jeho dych vyrážajúce módne prehliadky?! Oznamujem, že som oficiálne smutná..:(

Tailored pants, spiky belt and a hat. What an ensemble! This is the best leather jacket I have ever seen. Ladies, cropped leather jacket with an interesting pattern and cut is your "must have" for this spring.

Elagantné nohavice, vybíjaný opasok a klobúk. Skvelá kombinácia! No a tá kožená bundička je asi najkrajšia, akú som kedy videla. Odpadávka! Dámy, krátka kožená bunda so zaujímavou potlačou a strihom je jednoznačne “must have“ pre tohtoročnú jar.

I came across these amazing Hasbeens boots while looking for something else. And that's the beauty of internet. They are hand-made in the traditional way with genuine natural grained leather and a lime-tree wooden sole inspired by late disco 70's.

Na tieto Hasbeens čižmičky som natrafila náhodou pri hľadaní niečoho úplne iného. Aj v tom je čaro internetu. Sú ručne vyrobené tradičnými metódami z prírodnej kože a opätkami z lipového dreva. A to celé inšpirované diskofilnými 70.rokmi.

Erin is Christine's friend. She is funny, caring , easy-going with a huge crush on vintage. And because she just opened her new boutique I thought it would be a good time to find out more about her "love affair".

What is it about vintage you love so much?

Vintage has a story to tell and it comments on our shifting ideas of quality and form. Vintage typically comes from an era before mass manufacturing and the export of labour. For example, leather goods were made in Italy or Spain and garments were made in Canada or the USA. I find that the quality of vintage often surpasses the quality of goods that we have come to expect today. I adore when I can see where a vintage item has been mended and repaired because it makes me think about a time when clothing wasn't so disposable. Of course what I love the most is that wearing vintage is a way to be unique. Trends come and go, however, a vintage piece is a one-off and allows for true personal style and expression.

Do you have a favourite time period?

I can't say that I have a favourite time period in particular. Fashion is always recycling and re-inventing things from the past. However, the 1960's were a particularly interesting time in fashion history as a youth market was created, paving the way for street inspired fashion which continues to be influential to this day.

Who is your inspiration?

I am inspired by strong women who wear what makes them feel good and men who break out of the jeans and hoodie uniform. For me, fashion is about confidence and a good eye - inspiration can be found anywhere.--
