Picture Apollonia Vitelli marrying Michael Corleone in The Godfather... I'm not so much lace girl but this is just beautiful. And look closely at the inspiration board for this collection. Divine. I think everyone should have one. I always ask my clients to do their own. As weird as it sounds, it helps to determine your own personal style and what you want from life. You can use photos, pictures, words, pieces of fabric,...anything that inspires you in your everyday life. Try it for yourself and let me know how it goes!

I was finally able to put all the pictures from Toronto Film Festival together. Here are some of my favourite ones. It was a week full of unforgettable moments, great movies, big stars and a lot of fun. A week that one have to experience. Enjoy! PS: Milla Jovovich is even more beautiful in person. Waw.

Konečne sa mi podarilo zosumarizovať všetky fotky z filmového festivalu. Tu je zopár mojich najobľúbenejších z týždňa plného nezabudnueľných zážitkov, skvelých filmov, slávnych filmových hviezd a zábavy. Týždeň, na ktorý sa len tak nezabúda. PS: Milla Jovovich je v skutočnosti ešte krajšia. Váu.

I'm absolutely blown away by this editorial! You've probably seen it already. It's Vogue Hommes Japan and I'm wondering how is it possible that they are always so far ahead when it comes to fashion. Or actually everything. It's like a different world. Now I just hope, very soon we'll be able to see Vogue US in this digital interactive platform...Have a great weekend!

Tak toto je riadna šupa! Mnohí z vás ste už pravdepodobne videli nový formát japonského vydania Vogue pre mužov...Ja teda neviem, ako to robia, že sú v móde, vlastne vo všetkom, tak popredu v porovnaní s celým zvyškom sveta. Teraz už len dúfam, že sa na to chytia aj iní a už čoskoro si budeme môcť v takejto interaktívnej forme pozrieť aj americké Vogue... Krásny víkend!

Glamazons

Be able to see a fashion show at the moment when it really happens is just amazing (although I would still love to be able to sit in a front row one day, hehe). And Gucci had the best LIVE stream I've ever seen. They really thought it through - electronic ticket with your seat number, five cameras capturing different point of views of the runway and the backstage, live chat.. They were behind the schedule, but really, who isn't? Anyways, a collection started with color-injected jewel tones and metallics in slim, very tailored feminine pieces and  then evolved into more edgier, quite exotic cutouts, fringe-trimmed corsets, tops, jackets and skirts. These are my three favourite pieces (love that tribal get-your-party-on dress ala Anna Dello Russo). Yep, glamour is back at Gucci (together with the 70's)!!!

Vidieť módne prehliadky počas Fashion Weekov v reálnom čase a byť pri tom doma je podľa mňa jednou z najúžasnejších inovácií všetkých dôb! Aj keď teda stále pevne dúfam, že sa mi raz podarí sedieť na takej prehliadke v prvej rade, hehe! Gucci to ale celé posunul ešte asi o level vyššie. Elektronická pozvánka s číslom virtuálneho sedadla,  5 kamier ( každá zameraná na inú časť móla a zákulisia), živý pokec.. Trošku síce meškali, ale kto dnes nemešká? Začalo to celé naozaj koordinovaným zhlukom veľmi výrazných a sýtych farieb, úzkych, na mieru šitých kúskov,  pokračujúc do o niečo viac výstrednejších, exotickejších strihov (a vystrihnutí), porozstrapcovaných korzetov, zvrškov a sukní. To, čo som tu vybrala ja, boli asi moje úplne naj kúsky z tejto kolekcie. Hlavne teda tie krátke, africkými kmeňmi inšpirované, šatky za ktorými si určite tAnna Dello Russo pôjde nohy dolámať. Hlásim návrat glamúru a... ešte aj 70tych rokov...

I love every piece of the collection - oversized boyfriend jackets, feminine structured skirts, slim pants, long sheer dresses with skinny belts, tops covered with breathtaking details and applications. And all that in the colour shades of grey, beige, blue, cream and black.

Túžite po čerstvom vzduchu? Mám pocit, že to, čo by mohlo pomôcť je nová kolekcia značky Preen na budúcu jar a leto. Nadľahčené, vzdušné, štruktúrované kúsky spájajúce luxus a nositeľnosť. Páči sa mi celá kolekcia - dlhé boyfriend saká, ženské, štruktúrované sukne, úzke nohavice, dlhé vzdušné šaty s tenučkými opaskami, topy s dych vyrážajúcimi aplikáciami. A to všetko v neutrálnych farbách ako je sivá, béžová, modrá, krémová a čierna.

Vera Wang S/S 2011

New York Fashion Week is almost over and of course, I've found my favourite looks for next spring. So far, Vera Wang with her RTW is on top of the list. Inspired by Kill Bill, she combined together subtle oriental elements with a sense of minimalism and elegance. Love her draping and pleating work!!!!

Fashion Week v New Yorku sa už takmer skončil a ako by to bolo, keby som nemala svoje obľúbené kolekcie na buducúcu jar. Jednou z mojich naj bola tá od Very Wang. Inšpirovaná filmom Kill Bill, do svojej kolekcie namiešala prvky orientu, minimalizmu a elegancie. Pri pohľade na všetko to riasenie a prekladanie ani nedýcham!!!!
