Oh, yes. There was a time, when I was dreaming about these boots. And then one day I actually tried them on and saw how gigantic my feet looked. And my legs are not skinny. Also, I got these hot flashes and felt so uncomfortably warm just after walking for a few minutes around the store. So would leave these for a ski trip. Or for walking on the moon...

Ach, veru tak si ja pamätám, ako veľmi som kedysi túžila po moon boots. A potom som si ich konečne raz odskúšala a keď som zazrela, aké obrovské laby v nich mám, hneď ma túžba po nich prešla. Nehovoriac o tom, že mi v nich počas tých niekoľkých minút v obchode bolo nehorázne teplo, čo ma privádzalo do stavu nepokoja. Verdikt? Moon boots zásadne len na lyžovačku, nie do mesta. Prípadne ešte teda na prechádzku po mesiaci...

With Christmas approaching faster than ever, it's not a surprise that I am thinking about Santa more often than is socially accetable. Anyways, I did choose shoes for Santa's wife already and now it's little elf's turn. Aren't these booties from Irregular Choice just perfect??? And get this: they are called Apple Turnover! OK, I'm seriously hungry now...

S Vianociami blížiacimi sa rýchlosťou svetla asi nebude prekvapením, že na Santu myslím častejšie, ako sa na dievča zo slušnej rodiny patrí. Takže, topánočky pre pani Santovú by sme už mali, je rad na malých elfov. A myslím, že tieto zelené čižmičky od Irregular Choice sú úplne fantastické. A ešte k tomu, ako sa volajú, že Jablkový závin! Juj, a teraz som ešte aj hladnááááááááá!!!

Zabudnite na Anne Hathaway, Jessicu Albu a všetky ostatné krásky na obálkach decembrových časopisov. Toto je markatné, toto je glamúr. Editoriál so 64-ročnou herečkou Charlotte Rampling uverejnený v časopise V68 s podtitulom "Vek nikoho nezaujíma". Niet pochýb o tom, že Charlotte vie, ako nosiť šaty.

She’s an upcoming designer that you need to keep a look out for. Canadian born, London-based footwear designer Anastasia Radevich. And if you are wondering about the inspiration behind her collection Biofuture (this shoe is a part of it), it's the ocean’s natural color scheme and the urchins found under the sea. So let's dive in!

Na obzore sa črtá nová návrhárka topánočiek! Rodená Kanaďanka pôsobiaca v Londýne Anastasia Radevich. Táto zelená krasotinka je z jej kolekcie Biofuture inšpirovaná podmorským svetom, najmä potvorkami ježovkami. Tak šup šup, ponoriť sa a preskúmať to!

Poésy

You could see her in 2005's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, or just recently guest starring on Gossip Girl. She is also one of the faces of the Chloé fragrance campaign, chose her mother's last name, Poésy, for purely aesthetic reasons and believes that has a bizarre face that's out of proportion. Charming and dangerously innocent looking Clémence Poesy.


Po prvýkrát ste ju mohli vidieť v roku 2005 v Harry Potterovi alebo len prednedávnom hosťovať v seriáli Gossip Girl. Je jednou z tvári parfému od Chloé, svoje priezvisko prevzala po svojej mame, a to predovšetkým z estetických dôvodov, a je presvedčená o tom, že má bizardnú tvár miestami mimo proporcií. Očarujúca a nebezpečne nevinne vyzerajúca Clémence Poésy.

Dolled Up

I was working on a project recently and it was sooo much fun. It made me realize how many accessories I own (Mamma Mia, could open a little boutique soon!) but more importantly how much I love styling and playing dress up. So here are first pictures, hope you like them. Model - Christine Toy, photographer - James Weir.

Len prednedávnom som pracovala na menšom projekte a bolo to naozaj skvelé. Okrem iného som si uvedomila, koľko veľa doplnkov vlastním (fúúú mamička moja,  možno by som si rovno mohla otvoriť pidi butik!), ale najmä to, ako nesmierne milujem hru na obliekanie a čančanie. Jednoducho stajling. Toto sú prvé fotografie. Verím, že sa vám budú páčiť. Pózovala mi Christine Toy a fotografoval James Weir.

I know it's a bit early but with all the Christmas decorations everywhere and Christmas lights just can not help myself... Ho-Ho-Ho Everyone! PS: If there is Santa, then there is also his wife. And these Velvet Angels ankle boots are what she wears to work. In my fashion forward imagination anyways.

Viem, že je trošku priskoro, ale všetky tie svetlá a vianočné výzdoby mi jednoducho nedajú. Takže Ho Ho Hóóó, priatelia! PS: Keď Santa naozaj existuje, potom má určite aj pani Santovú. A tá podľa mňa nosí do práce na nôžkach obuté tieto Velvet Angels čižmičky. Teda aspoň podľa mojej fashion forward predstavivosti.

Fashion Icon, Part 2

These images are from a new book called Audrey 100. It's a beautiful book that you all should have in your fashionista library. Not sure why but everytime I flip through pages, I feel so calm and happy but also sorry I couldn't meet her in person...Maybe it's because of that  gracefulness and presence she has in every single picture.

Toto všetko je len malý výber nádherných fotografí zachytávajúcich Audrey Hepburn v novej knihe Audrey 100. Tá by naozaj nemala chýbať v knižnici žiadneho módneho milovníka. Ani neviem, čím to je, ale vždy, keď knihou začnem listovať, pocítim v tele nával pokoja a pocitu šťastia. Ale aj smútku, že som ju nikdy nemohla stretnúť osobne...Možno to bude práve tým neskonalým pôvabom a prítomnosťou, ktoré vyžarujú z každej jednej fotografie.

I decided to dedicate last 10 days to three amazing, charming and obviously very talented ladies from my home country. We are maybe small country (I still meet people who think Slovakia is the same as Slovenia) but have a lot to offer. Judge yourself. This is Michaela Hlavackova. Supermodel born in Bratislava. And as much as I am proud to know two ladies from my previous posts - Zuzka and Tamarka - I really hope I'll be lucky enough to work with Michaela one day and style her...Pretentious?:))) PS: This editorial was published in Vogue Spain 5 years ago and every time I look at it, I'm lost for words. Beautiful.  

Tak som sa nejako rozhodla, že týchto posledných pár dní venujem trom očividne veľmi talentovaným a krásnym žienkam z mojej rodnej krajiny. Nech ten svet vidí, že hoci sme malá krajinka, máme mu, čo ponúknuť (a nevadí, že ešte stále stretávam ľudí, čo si myslia, že Slovensko je Slovinsko). Posúďte sami. Toto je Michaela Hlaváčková. Narodila sa v Bratislave a dnes dobíja móla a stránky módnych časopisov po celom svete. A kým môžem hrdo povedať, že predchádzajúce dve dámy z mojich článkov - Zuzku a Tamarku - poznám, dúfam, že s Michaelou budem mať raz tú česť pracovať a stajlovať ju...Reku odvážne?:)))  PS: Tento editoriál bol v španielskom Vogue pred piatimi rokmi a predsa zakaždým, keď sa na neho pozriem, strácam slová. Nádherné.
