And as for F word I meant FASHION, of course:) But really, doesn't it look chic?

A čo sa týka toho slova na F, samozrejme som mala na mysli slovo FASHION:) Ale naozaj, nevyzerá to celé šík?

HIS SHOES(day)

My mind is still in Mexico....No wonder I felt in love with these Yuketens by Cesare Paciotti the moment I saw them. So, yeah, the future looks quite bright right now but I do have something I want to talk about. Many men are completely clueless when it comes to the DOs and DONTs of fashion. But because I care, I decided to give you a list of things that drive me (let's say) crazy these days (yes, I know, I need to get a life. But before I do so, please try to memorize this? Thank you):

1. NO to socks and sandals. No exceptions. Not even if you (think you) have nice legs. 

2. NO to white polyurethane leather dress shoes. Wing tip = torture me now.

3. NO to dirty nails and feet in sandals. Make sure your toenails are trim and healthy looking. You can skip the nailpolish. 

4. NO to wearing athletic socks for non athletic occasions. 

5. And NO to wearing long (white) socks with shorts of any sort. Always be sure to wear ankle socks when any portion of your lower leg is visible. Exceptions: You live in 1970's; you are a member of the Harlem Globetrotters or you are a fan of Cholo. 

Moja myseľ je ešte stále v Mexiku. Takže asi nebude prekvapením, že práve tieto pánske Yuketenky od Ceasara Paciotti mi padli do oka priam okamžite. Zdá sa, že budúcnosť vyzerá jasne a farebne, keby len nebolo niečoho, čo ma v týchto dňoch trápi. Na skutočnosť, že len veľmi málo mužov sa stará o to, čo sa nosí a čo nie, som si už zvykla. Sú však veci, ktoré by bolo dobré zapamätať si. Prosím. A tu je môj zoznam:

1. NIE ponožkám v sándaloch. Bez výnimky. Ani keď si myslíte, že máte pekné nohy. 

2. NIE bielym polyuretánovým spoločenským topánkam. A ak ešte majú jemne nadvihnutú špičku...Umučte ma.

3. Nohy a nechty na nohách v sandáloch či šľapkách musia byť vždy upravené a čisté. Lakovanie nechtov môžete pokojne vynechať.

4. Športové ponožky noste len k športovej obuvi. Zásadne. 

5. NIE vysokým bielym ponožkám ku krátkym nohaviciam. Ak teda nežijete v 70.rokoch, nie ste členom skupiny Harlem Globetrotters alebo vyznávač 'hnutia' Cholo.

There are Men's Fashion Weeks happening right now so I thought it would be appropriate to dedicate today's post to men. And their shoes. So tell me, how do you like these whimsical Prada 'Smarties' shoes?

VIVA MEXICO!

Ola! Just came back from Mexicooo. Funny enough, I've heard so many scary things about this country but it was one of my best vacations ever. If not the best. Mexico is spectacular country (I visited Chichen Itza, one of the seven wonders of the world); people are very friendly, kind and hardworking. Mayan women are quite short, strong built but unbelievably beautiful. And when they put their traditonal clothes on, I was speechless. Something I will never forget. And I also certainly won't forget Frida Kahlo. Her picture was absolutely everywhere!

Tak som zase tu. Rovno z Mexika. A hoci som o ňom počula toľko strašidelných príhod, bola to jedna z mojich najlepších dovoleniek, ak nie úplne naj. Je to veľkolepá krajina (ešte teraz mám spadnutú sánku z pyramíd Chichen Itza, čo je jeden zo 7 divov sveta); ľudia sú tam neskonale milí, pozorní a zároveň ťažko pracujúci. Nuž a tie ich ženy...Maličké, robusnejšej postavy, no neuveriteľne nádherné. Keď si na seba obliekli svoj tradičný kroj, až som onemela od úžasu. Na ten zjav nikdy nezabudnem. A ani na Fridu Kahlo, ktorej podobizeň bola azda úplne všade a na všetkom!

Suzanne is one of the nation's most recognizable faces who does have a lot of money, passion for fashion but also a very big heart. She uses her connections with designers to not only bring big fashion brands to Canada but also to help raise money for a many different children's charities. And she looks like a Barbie doll!!!! I swear!

Vitajte vo fantastickom šatníku Suzanne Rogers! Suzanne je filantropistka a módna nadšenkyňa z Toronta. Asi niet toho, kto by ju tu nepoznal. Má veľa peňazí, ale aj veľké srdce. Svoju vášeň pre módu spája so svojimi konexiami, čoho výsledkom je nielen to, že o Kanadu sa zaujímajú aj tí najznámejší módni návrhári, ale i skutočnosť, že vďaka nej sa vyzbireli neskutočné peniaze na rôzne detské charity. A k tomu vyzerá ako bábika Barbie v nadživotnej veľkosti! Fakt!

Marilyn

Marilyn Monroe...It would be her 85th birthday last week. She was an icon for so many women and still is. These pictures were taken just six weeks before she died. They were commissioned by Vogue and taken by Bert Stern as a part of a book about Marilyn called The Last Sitting...How sad and yet how beautiful. 

Marilyn Monroe...Minulý týždeň by oslávila svoje 85.narodeniny. Bola ikonou pre mnohé ženy a doteraz je. Tieto fotografie boli urobené len šesť týždňov predtým, ako umrela. Fotografa Berta Sterna najal časopis Vogue a stali sa súčasťou jeho knihy o Marilyn s názvom The Last Sitting (Posledné sedenie)...Aké smutné. A nádherné zároveň.

There is something magical about white colour. And I am not talking clothes right now. Combined with a slightly aged furniture, accessories and purple or green accents....aaaahhhhh... I am ready to lie down on the bed and start dreaming with my eyes wide open...

Na bielej farbe je niečo vskutku magické. A nemám teraz na mysli oblečenie. K tomu mierne ošúchaný nábytok a doplnky, nežné fialové alebo zelené akcenty a už si len ľahnúť na posteľ a snívať s otvorenými očami...

I think this was one of my most favourite Resort collections ever. Red colour, paper hats, short jackets, cowboy boots, high-waisted cigarette pants, patchwork, boleros, tailored pants, playful dots, beautiful embellishments, ornaments and prints. Even Pablo Picasso would turn red with jealousy. Oscar de la Renta has a special ability to create clothes so characteristic for his label and unpredictable at the same time. And timeless.

Červená farba, papierové klobúky v štýle sombréra, krátke kabátiky, kovbojské čižmy, cigaretové nohavice so zvýšeným pásom, patchwork, bolerká, nohavice strihané na mieru, hravé bodkovanie, výšivky a v neposlednom rade rôzne ornamenty a potlače, pri ktorých by aj samotný Picassso očervenel závisťou. To všetko a viac ponúkol Oscar de la Renta, ktorý má ojedinelú schopnosť vytvoriť šaty svojej značke tak charakteristické, a predsa vždy nepredvídateľné. Jednoducho nadčasové.
