There is a new man in charge at Balmain, Olivier Rousteing. And judging from this preview, we have exciting times ahead of us. I can't wait to see the actual collection! 

Značka balmain má vo svojom čele nového vodcu, Oliviera Rousteiga. A súdiac podľa tohoto náhľadu sa máme naozaj na čo tešiť. Už sa nemôžem dočkať celej kolekcie!

New York was great and I will get back to my favourite shows later on but now it's time to talk Milan. What do you think about the collections so far? Any favourites? PS: Time to ditch the bananas and get the cars going!

New York bol skvelý a ešte sa k nemu a mojim obľúbenýcm kolekciám vrátim, teraz je ale čas venovať sa Milánu. Čo si myslíte o kolekciách? Nejaká obľúbená? PS: Je načase zahodiť všetky banány a naštartovať autíčka!

New York Fashion Week

Some are very nice, some are very self-centred. Some are there for the love of fashion, some strictly for camera spotlight. Majority of them don't eat or drink anything besides Starbucks coffee and Fiji water. They all look so damn perfect that you suddenly feel like an ugly ducklet. And then you meet some of them (those without a chauffeur) behind the corner happily breathing a sigh of relief as they put on their  flip flops. Oh yes, it's a fascinating world to be in. Not mentioning all those fashion shows and a chance to meet and talk to SJ Parker at the Manohlo Blahnik store (yeeeey!) It wasn't easy to watch, take notes, pictures and enjoy it all at the same time. But here I am, sharing pictures from one of my best fashion experiences ever. Hopefully it wasn't the last one:) More here.

Niektorí sú veľmi milí, niektorí zahľadení len do seba samých. Niektorí sú tam kvôli láske k móde, niektorí kvôli bleskom fotoaparátov. Väčšina z nich nič nepije a neje, a keď už aj niečo, tak je to káva zo Starbucksu alebo Fiji voda. Všetci vyzerajú tak neskutočne dokonale, že vás už po dvoch dňoch chytí mierna depresia a cítite sa ako jedno malé škaredé káčatko. A potom ich mnohé stretnete za rohom, ako sa s blaženým výrazom na tvári prezúvajú do šlapiek. Hneď máte k sebe bližšie. Nehovoriac o samotných módnych prehliadkach, či možnosti prehodiť pár viet so Sarah Jessicu Parker v butiku Manolo Blahnika. Veru, svet módy je fascinujúci. A hoci nie je vôbec ľahké pozerať, zapisovať, fotiť a zároveň si vychutnávať celú skúsenosť, rada sa s vami podelím o tých pár fotiek, ktoré zachýtavajú jeden z najlepších zážitkov v mojom živote. Dúfajme, že nie je posledným:) Viac tu.    

Quirky Karen

Karen Walker and her Spring/Summer 2012 collection was a fun one. Very similar to these backstage pictures. Inspired by the 1976 film Taxi Driver, many of the dresses and blouses had 40s feel. Loose silhouettes, off-beat prints and quirky menswear-inspired look. How fun!

Karen Walker a jej jarnoletná kolekcia na rok 2012 bola naozaj taká veselá ako tomu napovedajú tieto fotografie zo zákulisia prehliadky v NY. Inšpirovaná filmom Taxikár z roku 1976, veľa šiat a blúzok malo v sebe nádych 40.rokov. Voľné siluety, nekonvenčné potlače a tak trochu divoké, mužským šatníkom inšpirované, modely. Jednoducho chutnosť na druhú.

New York City

What a week that was! I am still trying to get over it. A lot of walking, a lot of exciting things happening, a lot of fun...Oh and a lot of fashion of course! I've had the time of my life. New York is absolutely amazing city, people are very sweet and helpful and... everywhere! It's a very busy place to be. I feel I would need to write a book to be able to tell you everything. Who knows, maybe one day:) In meantime, please enjoy some pictures. More coming soon, so stay tuned!

To bol ale týždeň! Ešte stále sa z toho snažím spamätať. Veľa chodenia, veľa vzrušujúcich zážitkov, veľa zábavy...Och a samozrejme veľmi veľa módy! Bol to jednoducho zážitok, na ktorý sa nezabúda. New York je úžasné mesto, ľudia sú milí, je ich všade mnoho a sú nesmierne nápomocní. A ani som sa toľkokrát nestratila:) Mám taký pocit, že by som musela napísať knihu, ak by som vám to mala všetko porozprávať. Ktovie, možno raz. A kým sa tak stane, pozrite si aspoň zopár fotiek. Bude ich viac ešte aj zo samotného Fashion Weeku.

My lovelies, I have a HUGE news for you. HUUUUGE! I still can't believe this is actually happening. It was a big dream of mine for a looong time. Yes, yes, yes, I am going to NY Fashion Week!!!!!! Ok, now to the sad news: I just learned that iPads are not compatible with Blogger. At least for now. So as much as I'll miss you all, I need to take a break from blogging. For a week. Moji najzlatší, mám pre vás OBROVSKÚ novinku. Vlastne tomu stále akosi nemôžem uveriť. Možno i preto, že to bol môj veľký sen dlho predlho. Áno, áno, áááááno, ja maľutká idem do New Yorku na Fashion Week!!!!!!! No a teraz k tej smutnej správe. Hoci sa nesmierne vytešujem  z môjho nového iPADíku, len dnes som zistila, že zatiaľ nie je kompatibilný s Bloggerom. To znamená žiadne blogovanie po celý týždeň. Oficiálna prestávka. I can't wait to get my hands on this book coming out next month! Looks like an amazing collage of editorial spreads from Vogue Paris, notes and personal photos. That's 386 pages of Carine Roitfeld, to be exact.

Nemôžem sa dočkať, až sa mi do rúk dostane táto kniha! Vychádza budúci mesiac a z týchto fotografií sa zdá, že pôjde o úžasnú koláž editoriálov z Vogue Paris, poznámok a osobných fotografií. Inak aj v číslach povedané - celých 386 strán o Carine Roitfeld.
