Presented in the Fairmont Royal York’s ballroom, Lucian Matis’ breathtaking collection set the bar pretty high for the rest of the week. This all-black lace, crochet, feathers and knits collection, executed with surreal craftsmanship was glamorous and sexy in every way possible.

David Dixon is one of my favourite Canadian designers. Only few have mastered women’s tailoring in a way that he has. David never disappoints when it comes to delivering a strong, pretty and wearable collection. Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds, Canada’s king of fancy frocks and great coats showed an effortlessly elegant and gorgeous collection full of leather, feathers, sequins, embroidered tulle and chiffon. 

Rudsak was inspired by “simply stated, being Canadian” and it was a living proof that men and women can look stylish and sexy even if outside it is freezing cold. 

No Canadian Fashion Week is complete without a little love and color from Joe Fresh who brought back graphic black and white houndstooth patterns, modular looking coats, skinny trousers, knee high boots and cool structured handbags. 

Pink Tartan's new look is a little glam, a little edgy and all powerful. There was faux fur, feathers, peplums, fun and flirty details and great styling. 

Lundström paid an homage to the upper crust chic and Betty Draper from Mad Men with its expansive range of separates. Full-on feminine glamour gowns at the end of the show were magnificient! I only wish the hair and styling was done a bit differently. 

WAVK, or also a Grecian goddess-meets-Amelia Earhart, showcased hues of black gold, amethyst and boasted modernized tailoring, kimono sleeves and sheer cut outs. And Sunny Fong's sunshine personality is a cherry on the top of modern and wearable collection.
