This season Rodarte’s models walked the runway in plexiglass heels filled with sand. So whimsical and fun! Can't get over them.

Túto sezónu poslali sestry z Rodarte na mólo modelky obuté v topánkach s priehľadným opätkom vyplneným pieskom. Juj, aké rozmarné a zábavné zároveň! Nemôžem sa vynadívať.

Academy Awards 2012

The awards is season is over and I just really hope that Rooney Mara makes another good movie and is nominated for an awards next year as well. I can't get enough of her edgy and minimalistic style! I was also smitten by Gwyneth Paltrow unexpected, chic and fabulous Tom Ford dress, Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen and Milla Jovovich in Elie Saab. Sezóna udeľovania cien je za nami a už mi len ostáva dúfať, že Rooney Mara natočí chytro nejaký ďalší dobrý film, za ktorý by bola nominovaná. Zbožňujem jej tak trochu drsný, neotesaný a minimalistiký štýl! Zimomriavky som ale mala z Gwyneth Paltrow a jej šík, úchvatného a neočkávaného Toma Forda. It's one of those moments that you will remember forever. Meeting Oscar de la Renta was unexpected and exciting. He is such an old school gentleman, man of style with impeccable taste. That was last year. Today, I am looking at his fall/winter 2012 collection and feel that his love of women is reflected in his work, which is feminine, strong and beautiful. As it always is.

Bol to jeden z tých momentov, na ktoré sa nikdy nezabúda. Stretnúť Oscara de la Rentu minulý rok bolo neočakávané, o to viac vzrušujúce. Je to vskutku džentlmen, muž štýlu s dokonalým vkusom. Dnes sa pozerám na fotografie z jeho najnovšej kolekcie, ktorá je ženská, silná, nádherná a cítim z nej jeho lásku a obdiv k ženám, ako zo všetkého, čo vytvorí.

Heavenly

This is it; the perfect elaboration with masmerizing results. A little piece of heaven on Earth. I was not disappointed as Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig delivered big time! Once again. The inspiration behind their Marchesa Fall/Winter 2012 Collection was a portrait painting from 1879: William Adolphe Bourgueraus and his 'A Soul Brought to Heaven'.

Dokonalé spracovanie s fascinujúcim výsledkom. Maličký kúsok neba na zemi. Georgina Chapman a Keren Craig to zvládli na výbornú ako obyčajne. Inšpiráciou pre ich Marchesa kolekciu na jeseň/zimu 2012 im bolo dielo maliara William Adolphe Bourguerausa z roku 1879 s názvom 'A Soul Brought to Heaven' (Duša privedená do neba).

R.O.D.A.R.T.E.

I can't even describe how much I love new RODARTE. I have been following this incredibly talented duo of Mulleavy sisters for a while now, even more closely right after the Black Swan movie came out. I always find their designs a bit quirky which isn't necessarily what I would wear. But this Fall/Winter collection blows me away. The hair, the makeup, the shoes, the clothes! The inspiration of the collection is the outback of Australia altough they have never been there (Can you tell? I don't think so). Plus when George Lucas says he's a fan, you know they're special.

Neviem ani slovami opísať, ako veľmi zbožňujem nové RODARTE. Neskutočne talentované sestry Mulleavyové a ich tvorbu sledujem už dlhšie, tak naozaj podrobne od uvedenia filmu Black Swan. A hoci sa mi ich návrhy zdajú tak trochu zvláštne a nie sú presne tým, čo by som si na seba obliekla ja,  nová zimná kolekcia ma doslova ohromila. Vlasy, mejkap, topánky, šaty, všetko! Inšpirácia vzišla z austrálskej pustatiny, aj keď tam nikdy predtým neboli (čo by podľa mňa nikto ani neodhadol)... Plus, keď sa na ich prehliadku príde pozrieť samotný George Lucas, je jasné, že musia byť niečím špeciálnym.

Garden of Delights

A pallette of sleek midnight blues, ebony blacks, rich golds and pearly whites played well with different textures and materials which ranged from three-dimensional crystal rose beadwork, mettalic brocades, shredded chiffon, rainbow neoprene and molded vinyl. Ladies and gentlemen, Prabal Gurung at his best. Oh, and welcome to NY Fashion Week!

Paleta farieb ako polnočná modrá, ebonovo čierna, zlatá a perlovo biela sa fantasticky dopĺňali s rôznymi textúrami a materiálmi. Medzi inými i trojrozmerné ruže vyšívané z koráliek, metalický brokát, šifón, dúhový neoprén či lisovaný vynil. Dámy a páni, Prabal Gurung v tom najlepšom. Och, a vitajte na týždni módy v New Yorku!

Go-To Boosters

A statement coat can be a real go-to confidence booster. Two of my favourites right now: the first one is from Slovak designer Zlatica Hujbertova. Her designs are beautiful, yet edgy. They have personality. They live and breathe. They are shocking, expressive and controversial. The second one is from FAREN, Canadian women’s wear that uses classic tailoring techniques and “up-cycling” innovation to combine a professional look with a fashion- forward style (look at those shoulders!)... So go ahead, purchase a coat that isn't just practical. Buy one that is interesting, one of a kind, beautiful, luxurious and trendy. It's worth it!

Možno sa to nezdá, ale výrazný kabát dopomôže ľahko k pozdvihnutiu sebavedomia. Medzi moje momentálne NAJ patria tieto dva: prvý od Zlatky Hujbertovej, druhý od kanadskej návrhárky Tami Faren. Na Zlatke mám rada, že jej veci sú krásne a zároveň na hrane.  Majú vlastnú osobnosť, žijú a dýchajú. Sú šokojúce, expresívne a kontroverzné. Faren zase spája tradíciu, klasické krajčírske umenie a  inováciu, aby tak vytvorila to najlepšie, najoriginálnejšie a fashion-forward, čo sa na kanadskom trhu nachádza. Tak nech sa páči, kúpte si i vy pre zmenu kabát, ktorý nie je len praktický. Nájdite si taký, čo je zaujímavý, jediný svojho druhu, luxusný či trendy. Oplatí sa!

Princess Treatment

I'm not a little girl anymore and yet, I still dream about becoming a princess for a day (at least). To walk around dressed to the nines with a sparkly tiara/crown on my head...what could be better?:) 

Už nie som malé dievčatko, a predsa by som sa stále aspoň na jedeň rada prevtelila do pinceznej. Len tak sa motať a prechádzať oblečená do úžasných šiat s trblietavou korunkou na hlave...no čo už môže byť lepšie?:)

Umbrellas have been a popular fashion accessories for many years. They come in a wide variety of shapes, styles and colors and it's really up to you which you buy. Try to choose an interesting one, it's a brilliant way to distract youself from the bad weather conditions. 

Dáždniky sú už hádam odjakživa obľúbeným módnym doplnkom. Dostať ich v rôznych veľkostiach, farbách, tvaroch, štýloch a je len na každom z nás, aký si zadovážiť. Skúste si ale vybrať nejaký zaujímavý, je to totiž skvelý spôsob, ako sa aspoň na chvíľu odreagovať od zlého počasia.

Feather It Up!

There's something so frivolously fun about feathers. And a feathered skirt is an absolute wardrobe must-have this spring. Yes, this type of skirt is not something you can wear every day. But I'm sure the occasion will present itself. Sooner or later.

Frivoľnosť, radosť a pochabosť. Aj tak by sa dalo charakterizovať perie. A taká suknička z peria je úplný zásah do čierneho. Minimálne čo sa trendov na túto jar týka. Áno, je síce pravda, že sa nedá nosiť všade a každý deň, ale ja som presvedčená, že minimálne jedna vhodná udalosť sa vždy nájde.
