Wearing white is a look that can be pulled off well with some attention to detail: avoid anything that is too tight and instead, opt for silhouettes that float away from the body. Pair it with summer's brightest hues like coral, hot pink, orange and turquoise. Use white as an accent. White accessories are what you need! Toto leto sa nenechajte sa odradiť bielou, pristane totiž každej postavičke. Stačí len ovládať zopár základných pravidiel: vyhýbajte sa všetkému, čo je príliš tesné a obtiahnuté. Bielu kombinujte s jasnými farbami ako korálová, sýtoružová, oranžová či tyrkysová. Nuž a napokon, biela bude skvelá i ako farba akcentov. Biele doplnky sú presne to, čo toto leto potrebujete určite. Have you heard? The second issue of TOP FASHION magazine is on newsstands now and let me tell you, it's even better than the first one! First of all, who could resist beautiful Daniela Peštova gracing the cover photographed by talented duo René&Radka? An instant attention grabber. That aside, it's a great magazine full of amazing photos, articles, inspiration and people who believe in something new and big and who love their job. I am just happy to be a part of it. As for my articles, I'll teach you how to dress your body type, introduce you to key fashion trends for S/S 2012 and finally, you can read about my experience from NY Fashion Week.


Už ste počuli? Druhé číslo časopisu TOP FASHION je na stánkoch na SR i v Čechách. A veruže je ešte lepšie ako to prvé! Začnime od Daniely Peštovej, ktorá doslova žiari na obálke. Fotilo ju veľmi talentované duo René a Radka a podľa mňa je to zaručený pútač pozornosti. Samotný časopis je plný úžasných fotografií, článkov, inšpirácií, no predovšetkým má za sebou ľudí, ktorí v niečo veľké a nové veria a milujú svoju prácu. A ja som len rada, že môžem byť toho súčasťou. Čo sa týka mojích článkov, nájdete ich na stranách 14, 18-21, 57-91, 102-107, 131-140, 152-153. Naučím vás, ako obliekať 5 základných typov postáv, prevediem vás svetom módnych trendov pre sezónu jar/leto 2012 (ženy aj muži!) a napokon vám aspon trošku priblížim zákulisie Fashion Weeku v New Yorku. PS: Ďakujem celému tímu v TF, ktorý sa pričinil k tomu, že konečná verzia mojích článkov vyzerá tak úžasne!

Freshen things up with pale minty green, the season's new cool hue! Great option for those who are afraid of color but still want to update their wardrobe or possibly looking for a replacement for white. I like mint and white combination but my favorite is mint chocolate (mint+brown)! Yammy!

Jedným z popredných zástupcov pastelových farieb, ktoré sú taktiež hitom tohtoročnej jari a leta, je mentolovo-zelená. Na prvý pohľad pomerne chladná a nevýrazná farba je ľahká a nenásilná alternatíva pre všetkých, ktorí nie sú na trendové výstrednosti a predsa chcú oživiť svoj šatník, možno i zameniť typickú bielu za niečo originálnejšie. Osobne mám rada kombináciu bielej s mentolovo-zelenou, no za najchutnejšiu považujem mentolovú čokoládu (mentolová+hnedá), ktorej sa dá len ťažko odolať. Mňam!

Peony

I met Peony in New York during September's Fashion Week. As you can see from her photographs she has impeccable style. Peony's creativity is endless, every outfit is precise with hair and makeup to match. And I don't know how she does it, but he hair is always so perfect. Aaaah!


S Peony som sa zoznámila minulý rok v septembri počas Fashion Weeku v New Yorku. Ako sami vidíte, jej štýl je neskutočný, kreativita nekončiaca a každý jej outfit doplnený precíznym mejkapom a účesom. Čo mne ale nedá spávať sú jej vždy dokonalé vlasy. Ach!

Citrus Burst

Every year Pantone nominates a colour of the year, and 2012 has been declared the year of Tangerine Tango. This fun and flamboyant colour radiates warmth and energy. But there’s all shades of orange everywhere. My suggestion: pair orange tops with lighter colors like beige or light brown, while staying away from black or dark brown. Other bright colors like teal, hot pink or yellow are also a great option to switch things around. After all, it's almost summer!

Inštitút Pantone každý rok vyhlási farbu roka. Pre 2012 je to mandarínkovo oranžová. Táto veselá a nápadná farba je synonymom tepla a energie. A ako ju nosiť? Skúste skombinovať sýtooranžový top s neutrálnymi farbami ako béžová či svetlohnedá, čiernej a tmavohnedej sa radšej vyhýbajte. Osobne by som zašla do o niečo divokejších kombinácií, ako je oranžová s tyrkysovou, ružovou či žltou. Koniec koncov leto je takmer za dverami!

One of this season’s hottest hues is a yellow. Symbol of the sun and energy is cheerful and a great color to attract attention. Adding a bright yellow piece to your wardrobe will brighten up your whole look and will instantly make your skin look more tan. And who wouldn't like that?

Jednou z farieb tejto sezóny je žltá. Symbol slnka a energie je skvelým prostriedkom na pritiahnutie pozornosti. Zamixovanie žltej do vášho šatníka nielen rozjasní váš celkový vzhľad, ale spôsobí i to, že vaša pokožka bude v kontraste s výraznou žltou pôsobiť razom opálenejšie. Celkom lákavé, nie?

I haven't posted any editorial pictures on here for a while. Mostly, because they all are on my Facebook page (here). But I couldn't resist this time around. Ladies and gentlemen, Keira Knightly for Interview magazine! She looks absolutely magnificent! Jaw-dropping!

Už dávno som sem nehodila žiaden editoriál, najmä preto, že všetky, čo ma oslovia idú automaticky na facebookovú stránku (tu). Je ale najvyšší čas napraviť to. Pri pohľade na tieto fotky z najnovšieho vydania časopisu Interview som onemela od úžasu. Takto skvele hádam Keira Knightley ešte ani nevyzerala. Bravó!

She is young, beautiful and successful. This stunning young beauty comes from Slovakia and came 2nd in Slovakian Elite model look in 2004. Michaela is also the new Elite Model Look Ambassador. Her career truly took off in 2006 in New York, with the Rodarte show followed by walking for Rochas, Alexander McQueen, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, John Galliano, Chanel aand Victoria's Secret! You could see her on the cover of  Vogue Italie, Vogue Espagne, Velvet, Elle UK and L'Officiel. Despite being very busy she has agreed to aswer my questions for you, my dear readers. Enjoy! 
1. Favourite fashion designer?
Right now, it's Helmut Lang and Alexander Wang. Both are Americans. As for photographers, it would be Steven Meisel, Greag Kadel and my ex-boyfriend Dylan Don.
2.  Most beautiful or most interesting place for the photoshoot?
Bora Bora and St. Barth for sure!
3. Unfulfilled dream?
To be on the cover of Vogue US. And in my private life? I rather keep that to myself :D
4. Your ideal day?
On a deserted island, breakfast to bed, drinking wine in the evening... Just to relax all day. And surf.  
5. Your guilty pleasure?
Shopping for shoes and handbags.
6.  Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it. What do you consider beautiful?
Beauty is boring, I prefer sofistication, someone interesting...
7. It seems that designers are being criticized for thin and underage models, what do you tthink about that?
Modelling has a very short shelf life so it's better for the girls when they start young. It gives them more time to work on themselves. They travel a lot but they are accompanied by a parent or a family member most of the time. So now, I don't think it's that bad.


Je mladá, krásna a úspešná. Pochádza zo Slovenska a na Elite Model Look 2004 sa umiestnila na 2.mieste. Dnes je jeho novou ambasádorkou. Jej skutočná kariéra sa rozbehla po tom, ako predvádzala v roku 2006 v New Yorku pre značku Rodarte. Neskôr prišiel Rochas, Alexander McQueen, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, John Galliano, Chanel a Victoria's Secret! Vidieť ste ju mohli na obálkach časopisov Vogue Italie, Vogue Espagne, Velvet, Elle UK a L'Officiel. Napriek nesmierne nabitému programu si našla čas a odpovedala mi na zopár otázok iba pre vás, mojích milých čitateľov. Nech sa páči!
1. Obľúbený fotograf a návrhár?
Obľúbený návrhár asi teraz je Helmut Lang a Alexander Wang, americké značky obe a fotograf?? Asi  Steven Meisel, Greag Kadel krásne fotí a veľmi mám rada aj fotky môjho ex priateľa Dylana Don.
2. Najkrajšie či najzaujímavejšie miesto fotenia?
Najkrajšie určite Bora Bora a St.Barth!
3. Nesplnený sen?
Nesplnený sen?? Pracovne to bude asi cover od amerického Vogue a súkromný si nechám pre seba.. :D
4. Akoby mal vyzerať tvoj ideálny deň?
Niekde na krásnom malom ostrove, kde nikto nie je, ráno raňajky do postele a večer príjemné vínko. Relax celý deň alebo surfovanie… :D
5. Každý máme svoje „guilty pleasure“. Čo je to tvoje?
Ako každá žena asi nakupovanie…topánky a kabelky...
6. Krása je všade a vo všetkom, nie každý ju však vidí a vie rozoznať. Čo pre teba znamená byť krásna/krásny?
Krása je nuda, človek musí byť zaujimavý niečím, milujem sofistikovaných ľudí!
7. Návrhári sú v poslednej dobe často kritizovaní za to, že si pre svoje prehliadky a fotenia vyberajú príliš chudé či príliš mladé modelky. Ako sa na to pozeráš ty?
Kariéra modelky je veľmi krátka, ak dievčatá nezačnú v mladom veku, neskôr to veľmi ťažko doženú! Dievčatá začínajú mladé a takmer každá agentúra posiela dievčatá von, keď sú aspon trošku pripravené psychicky to zvládnuť. Nemyslím si osobne, že to je až také strašné a ak sú dievčatá mladé, cestujú veľmi často s doprovodom.
